House of Horrors at the Toronto Humane Society, Mummified cat found at Humane Society

In a place where animals are to be treated and not left to suffer and die in pain.....This is very very sad and distrubing.

A media tour of the Toronto Humane Society was held up today by the discovery of a dead cat inside a dropped ceiling at the Queen St. facility.

The cat was inside a live trap – a type of baited trap used to capture animals who cannot be caught by conventional means – and mummified, according to Kevin Strooband, lead investigator with the OSPCA, who said he did not know how long the cat would have been in the trap.

"Very disturbing, you know it sent chills down my spine," said Strooband, who said the animal was located shortly after 2 p.m.
